$2.3+ Billion in Federal Funding Recovered
Most of it was already entitled. None of it was being captured.
uMorphos rebuilds the financial, compliance, and operational infrastructure inside local governments, not-for-profits, and tribal organizations so federal dollars are captured, audits are defensible, and reimbursements hold up under escalating federal oversight.
We do this two ways: as the firm that rebuilds your infrastructure, and as the team behind uMorphos Grants, the operational infrastructure layer for post-award governance, compliance, and financial control.

This is not a discovery call. It’s a structured evaluation of where your infrastructure is failing and what it would take to fix it.
$2.3B+ federal funding recovered through indirect cost optimization $30B+ federal program environments structured and supported 18 years rebuilding public-sector financial infrastructure
Who We Work With
Local Government
County, municipal, and special district finance teams managing federal pass-through, single audit exposure, and indirect cost recovery on multiple funding streams.
Not-For-Profits
Health, human services, education, and workforce nonprofits managing multiple funders, post-award compliance, and cost recovery under increasing scrutiny.
Tribal
Tribes and tribal consortia managing ISDEAA contracts, 638 compacts, BIA and IHS funding, and cost recovery structures that hold under federal review.
A Representative Engagement
A regional public health consortium operating across multiple counties had been recovering indirect costs at a rate negotiated nine years earlier. The rate had not been refreshed. Programs had grown. Cost structure had shifted. Documentation had drifted into spreadsheets nobody fully owned.
The actual recoverable rate was 11+ % higher than what was being billed. Federally allowable costs were being absorbed by program budgets that did not have to carry them.
We rebuilt the cost allocation methodology, renegotiated the rate, and restructured the post-award framework. Eight figures of unbilled indirect cost recovered across two fiscal years. Federally entitled funding redirected to the programs it was meant to support.
The dollars are real. They are sitting on every grant-funded balance sheet we have ever opened.
The Problem is Structural, Not Effort
Federal monitoring is escalating. Single audit standards are tightening. Reimbursement denials are rising. The organizations that thrive in this environment have rebuilt the infrastructure underneath their funding. The ones that haven't are exposed.
Manual Workarounds
Manual workarounds are doing the work systems should be doing.
Decisions on Bad Data
Leadership is making seven-figure decisions on data that requires translation.
Cost Recovery Gap
Indirect cost recovery is leaving real money on the table.
Repeating Audit Findings
Audit findings repeat across cycles.
Compliance in Binders
Compliance lives in binders, not frameworks.
Reports Don't Reconcile
Reports do not reconcile to operational reality.
This is not a people problem. Your team is working harder than ever and the system is producing less. That is structural failure. We rebuild the structure through advisory, through software, or both.
Two Ways To Work With Us
We operate as one firm with two delivery models. Most clients use both. Some start with one and add the other once the value is proven.

Strategic Infrastructure (Advisory)
We rebuild the financial, compliance, and operational systems your organization depends on. Indirect cost recovery. Cost allocation. Single audit remediation. AI-enabled framework design. Three integrated pillars, built as one system.
This is for organizations where the structure underneath finance and compliance has drifted and the cost of that drift has compounded. The Strategic Assessment is the entry point.
Where this lives:
  • Financial Infrastructure — Financial system design. Recovery optimization. Indirect cost rate strategy. Cost allocation. The dollars live here. See Financial Infrastructure →
  • Risk & Oversight — Post-award grants management. Sub-recipient oversight. 2 CFR 200. Audit readiness — powered by uMorphos Grants, our purpose-built post-award engine. See Risk & Oversight →
  • Intelligent Systems — AI agents, automation, and decision-support engineered into finance and compliance — so capacity scales without proportional headcount. See Intelligent Systems →
uMorphos Grants (Operating System)
The post-award compliance engine. Purpose-built for public funded organizations.
uMorphos Grants is the platform that operationalizes post-award compliance at the framework layer. It is the engine that runs underneath the framework turning the structure we design (or the structure your team has already built) into execution your team uses every day.
What it does:
  • Post-award framework operationalized
  • Documentation captured by design
  • Enforce subrecipient oversight
  • 2 CFR 200 alignment operationalized
  • Indirect cost recovery captured during the fiscal year
  • Single audit posture maintained continuously
How it works with the advisory side:
uMorphos Grants is built to operate independently. You can deploy it as a standalone software platform with implementation support, and your team runs it from there.
For organizations whose post-award infrastructure needs more than software, uMorphos Grants is deployed inside our advisory engagements.
How We Engage (Advisory)
01
Strategic Assessment (2–3 weeks)
Structured diagnostic. We map the failures, quantify the cost in recoverable dollars and risk exposure, and deliver a precise rebuild plan.
02
Stabilization Build (30–45 days)
We resolve the high-risk failures and rebuild the core infrastructure leadership depends on.
03
Ongoing Infrastructure Layer
We stay in. We maintain, refine, and scale the system as funding shifts, regulations evolve, and complexity grows.
This is Not Traditional Consulting
No 80-page reports left for your team to operationalize. No diagnostics without remediation. No PowerPoints in place of execution. We identify what is broken. We quantify the cost. We rebuild the system. We stay involved long enough to ensure it operates correctly.
You leave with infrastructure, not insight.
Start Where You Are
If your infrastructure needs to be rebuilt:
Schedule a Strategic Assessment → A structured evaluation of where your infrastructure is failing, what it is costing you, and what it would take to fix it.
If your post-award compliance needs an engine:
See uMorphos Grants → The post-award software platform that operationalizes compliance at the framework layer. Implementation support included.
